Answer by quality
Just got the HP Pavilion dv6-3120us laptop. good price for all the features, expandable to 8g ram 2.6ghz dual core processor works great. has a cool little media quick launch button that starts up either hulu or netflix right away. the keyboard is a little off spacing wise but that could just be because im used to my toshiba that kicked the bucket. so far smooth. everyting started up great, streams movies to my tv though the hdmi. will let yall know if any problems arise. ohh a quick note that i think all the major laptop companies are changing their touch mouse thing. it takes a little getting used to but i didnt see much of any other option out there. there are no real buttons just one flat touch pad. i had to knock down the sensitivity on mine

I just want to try something out (one of those cool tricks with the wiimote to be more exact) that requires bluetooth with my desktop and don’t really want to go out and buy an adapter just for it. Anyways I have a laptop and a tablet that both have bluetooth and I wanted to know if theres some way to connect the device to my desktop through either my laptop or tablet?

Best answer:

Answer by Dominic
Sadly no. I wanted to try running Wii games on my PC, too. I bit the bullet and got a Bluetooth adapter. They’re pretty cheap.

I’m just about to sign a 36 month contract with Radio Rentals to rent a laptop for $ 21.95 a week including insurance. It is a Dell – Inspiron 1525 Notebook, DOES ANYONE have any feedback whether this company is ok to rent with, any feedback at all. I’m 25 and have never done anything like this before, thanks guys Really appreciated it.

Best answer:

Answer by thefutile
dont do it… you’re throwing away your money renting something like that… consider taking out a loan for a computer… you’ll end up paying around the same amount… and you get to keep it after 36 months is over

i want to buy good condition second hand laptops. which is the best option

Best answer:

Answer by stelian g
Well, it depends on the purpose you are planning to use it for.
In general, I would recommend a popular brand like IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad, Dell or Apple.
In these cases you are on the good side on issues like reliability, quality and maybe rest warranty, since those vendors have good service, at least here in Europe. Another point is that these machines do not drop that much in price the moment you purchase them, meaning you could resell it and still be able to buy something else with the money
Hope this was useful.

I am trying to allow the kids and I to just share one printer but my laptop doesn’t see the other printer although the network computer says it is sharing the printer.

Best answer:

Answer by burning.mice
Youll need to set up file and printer sharing. First youll need a router (wired or wireless, as long as their all connected). Then youll need to make sure your all on the same workgroup, then set up file and printer shring(should be in control paanel) then go on the laptop and print a test page(you may have to go into print options and choose your printer.)

Question by : Why do the new laptops have buttons for pushing to receive wireless from a router?
i have a new laptop by compaq, and i dont know if this is the same for most new laptops, but you have to make sure the wireless button is active or lit to receive wireless from a router.

before on my old lap top , which was 2 years old gateway, there was not such thing.

is there any purpose or reason that this serves?

seems to me to be a bit of an annoying feature that seems meaningless.

why you think??

when did they start doing this?

thanks for your answers!

Best answer:

Answer by Thomas P
It turns your wireless card on and off…

Wireless Card On eats up a lot of battery power.
