Just got the HP Pavilion dv6-3120us laptop. good price for all the features, expandable to 8g ram 2.6ghz dual core processor works great. has a cool little media quick launch button that starts up either hulu or netflix right away. the keyboard is a little off spacing wise but that could just be because im used to my toshiba that kicked the bucket. so far smooth. everyting started up great, streams movies to my tv though the hdmi. will let yall know if any problems arise. ohh a quick note that i think all the major laptop companies are changing their touch mouse thing. it takes a little getting used to but i didnt see much of any other option out there. there are no real buttons just one flat touch pad. i had to knock down the sensitivity on mine

I have 17.3 laptop, the screen is great but I feel that things are abit smaller compared to the screen size of normal laptops.

there is no special browser

just increase the font size – view – text size and choose one that suits you –

or if you want to change the size of what your viewing hold down the CTRL key and move the mouse wheel

How to get ink off a laptop sleeve?
I have an ink mark on my laptop sleeve. I think the fabric is neoprene, but I am not sure. Any tips on getting ink off?

So far I have tried water, rubbing alcohol, hairspray and resolve spray n wash. I don’t want to ruin the fabric as it is kate spade.

I’m just about to sign a 36 month contract with Radio Rentals to rent a laptop for $ 21.95 a week including insurance. It is a Dell – Inspiron 1525 Notebook, DOES ANYONE have any feedback whether this company is ok to rent with, any feedback at all. I’m 25 and have never done anything like this before, thanks guys :) Really appreciated it.

dont do it… you’re throwing away your money renting something like that… consider taking out a loan for a computer… you’ll end up paying around the same amount… and you get to keep it after 36 months is over

I have a samsung laptop that will not boot up dose anyone know if this means the hard drive is faulty
When i switch on my samsung P28 laptop the text on the screen reads
Operating System not found can any one help I have put in the system recovery disc and nothing happens i also have the driver discs

could be a fair few things.
do the lights and fans come on?

does it beep?

what messages if any are displayed.

(edited 07/01/08 ) go into the bios of the laptop and set the boot sequence to boot from cd first then hard drive second.

then take any cd’s out and try booting it up, if that doesnt work you will be able to use the cd as recovery

I have a 17″ Dell Inspiron laptop. Some places say that the Incase Neoprene sleeve for Macbook Pro will work and some don’t; does anyone know for sure? Or….what are some other options as far as sleeves go?

Most laptop sleeve/bag manufacturers sell 17″ laptop sleeves, but the availability in stores may vary. If you’re looking for something cheap, I recommend buying one off eBay. Some brands to check out:

Do it slowly if it doesn’t have an SSD, otherwise you risk shock damage to the hard drive.

Other than that, sure. Just make sure there isn’t too much weight on the LCD.

If you can wait I would because windows 7 is much better than vista and quad-core are coming out soon which will make the dual core obsolete. Not cool when under a year of buying a new computer and spending all that money you have a what’s considered “old hardware” computer
