I have a gateway laptop that I have probably had for 3 years. And the fan is broken and the plug in where the battery charger goes into is also broken. Is there a website I can sell it on?

You can usually sell anything on EBAY, just make sure you put that it is broken, or you could get into trouble… Just say selling laptop, AS IS, and say what is wrong with it.. And a good proce for something like that would probably be… 50 bucks? mabye a bit less? because there are people that fix laptops and stuff for fun, so i guess they would get a bite at it

I’m looking for a laptop with a nice display that’ll be used mainly for work and studying but can also deal with HD videos without an issue as well – so I probably won’t need a dedicated graphics chip but I do want a high-res display on a 15″ laptop without breaking the bank. Sandybridge would be a bonus.

The ASUS my be the cheapest but you can find higher quality in the dell or hp. You can review some on sale at http://buy-laptop.org/category/asus-computer-international-direct/

We’re going to Venice on Florida’s gulf coast for 4 weeks in August and are unsure about the logistics of taking and using our own laptop there – we thought of renting one there and wondered what the best option is?

We travel alot with Notebook PCs and have taken as many as 3 Dell Notebook PCs on one trip. I would personally take my own laptop/Notebook PC for several reasons: (i) you can search but it’ll probably be very difficult to rent a Notebook PC for a reasonable price and if you kept it say 2 or 3 weeks, the rental might even result in ownership. (ii) you can begin searching for INTERNET CAFES etc but they are pricey and often available at resort locations. (iii) another option depend on your lodging choice as sometimes TIMESHAREs have a computer room on signup basis, and (iv) last and free where computers for email and internet purposes are commonly available is PUBLIC LIBRARIES…

K so i want to know whats the name of those laptops that have that have the windows logo on the lid? Ive seen them on tv but whenever i google it i cant find it. So can u guys give me the name of them, black with windows/vista logo?

Thats just a decal, windows doesnt actually make laptops. As far as I know Mac is the only company that makes the OS and computer, which is why they are the most stable systems in the world.

Its Toshiba… buy it according to your requirements…for example if you only use the Office Package, no need to go for a very high price laptop..

hp.com is having sale starting tonight through cyber monday

Bestbuy has one or two laptops on sale for cyber monday, but I think it an acer and they’re poor quaility.

Other good sites to check out are tigerdirect.com, newegg.com, and amazon.com

the lowest price alienware laptop is slower and more expensive then the MSi 640 that does have a disc drive ofc, all laptops do (or should atleast <.<)
so get the MSI 640, a LOT faster then alienware laptops and cheaper ^^

(alienware is 90% brand 10% preformance)
